• Aspen Integration Infrastructure™

Integrates applications and data across engineering, plant operations, and supply chain

Aspen Integration Infrastructure is a common set of software tools for all aspenONE® solutions, providing an open and standards-based approach to integrating applications and data from AspenTech and other vendors. When configured as part of aspenONE’s modules, Aspen Integration Infrastructure provides the functionality to visualize, analyze, and optimize your operations in a collaborative environment.

    Features

    • Aspen Enterprise Integration Framework (EIF): A communication platform for the integration of all aspenONE products based on Microsoft .NET 3.x Windows Communication Foundation (WCF). The Aspen EIF consists of a Core and six separately installable components.  Support is provided for SharePoint 2007, Windows Vista, and Windows Communications Foundation (WCF).
    • Aspen Role-Based Visualization: View timely, accurate information in one place, covering the three time domains of operations: historical, real-time, and future. By aggregating the content from multiple sources into a web-based graphical user interface (GUI), you have access at anytime and anywhere through multiple devices.
    • Aspen Event Manager: Enables you to identify events and trends in real-time in the context of your business processes, linking events that have the greatest impact on your business to your standard operating procedures (SOPs), letting you take rapid action.
    • Aspen Manufacturing Master Data Manager: Provides a consistent business view of manufacturing and related data so that data passed between applications is “understood.” The repository provides master data (e.g., equipment, materials, people, locations) to support visibility, application integration, and business process integration.
    • Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA): Leverages Microsoft® middleware and key components of an SOA to facilitate interoperable machine-to-machine interaction over a network.
    • Industry Standards: Standards such as ISA-S95 forms a key element of the architecture as well as other standards including ISA-S88, PRODML, and OPC. Adoption of industry standards improves interoperability and lowers total cost of ownership.
    • Enterprise Connectivity: Integrates the data from plant control systems and business systems to enable management of day-to-day operations.

    Benefits

    • Lower IT Cost of Ownership. Aspen Integration Infrastructure significantly lowers your IT cost of ownership and seamlessly integrates into your existing enterprise environment.
    • Visualize the impact of business decisions. Aspen Integration Infrastructure lets you visualize the future impact of your business decisions by using models and simulations that build upon investments already made by using a consistent set of data, models, and assumptions.
    • Improve organizational agility. Aspen Integration Infrastructure leverages loosely coupled reusable services and a flexible architecture adaptable to change.
