Aspen Shell & Tube Exchanger performs the design for all major industrial shell & tube exchanger equipment types and applications, including single phase, condensation, and evaporation.

  • Optimized Designs: Aspen Shell & Tube Exchanger automates the design optimization process, allowing for cost savings of up to 30% or more.
  • Physical Properties: Properties can be transferred from AspenTech’s steady-state simulators, or retrieved from Aspen Properties®, Aspen HYSYS Thermodynamics COM Interface, or the heritage Aspen B-JAC™ database. More than 15,000 components and 30 vapor liquid equilibrium methods are available.
  • Flow-Induced Vibration Checks: Rigorous HTFS research validated checks, as well as checks with the TEMA method, are used to identify vibration problems for shell-side process streams.
  • Graphics: Fully dimensioned setting plan and interactive tubesheet layout are available.
  • Integrated with Aspen Plus® & Aspen HYSYS®: High-level run-time integration enables engineers to rigorously model heat exchanger operation and identify capital savings opportunities within the context of the overall process.
  • Thermal and Mechanical Integration: Bi-directional integration with Aspen Shell & Tube Mechanical allows for efficient optimization to thermal and mechanical constraints.
